February 2/24

This week we studied Ontario and Quebec.  Div. 13 seems to really be enjoying learning about Canada.  These two even like to read more during Your Time!

Our first week of spelling went well.  Please remember if your child hasn't completed the weekly lesson it will come home on Wednesday to be completed, if you are unable to do this please return it to school each day, if it is still not finished they will need to finish it Friday afternoon during our Free Choice block. Thanks for your help with this important literacy program.

Rollerblading was successful, especially on Thursday as it was their second day and they were more confident.

Please be sure to sign up on the portal for our field trips on Feb. 16 to Westview to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and skating on Feb. 23rd.  FYI - unfortunately you cannot pay online for the rental of skates and helmets - sorry I have since learned how I need to do this when there are fees that are not mandatory.  You will need to send money in a labeled ziplock bag.  Also just a reminder if you have not completed driver's abstracts this year you will need to do one.  Thanks.

Painting Volunteer Needed:  If you are available to help paint with some students please email me. We have a big project that needs to be done only in 2's.  Massimo came in today and is hoping to come back next Friday but if anyone else was able to help that would be great.
